Pickleball (Starting MONDAYS March 2, 2026 - 6 weeks)

Pickleball is one of the fastest growing sports in the country. And here’s why: The rules are simple. And while it’s easy for beginners to learn, it can quickly develop into a fast-paced, competitive game as players become more skilled.  Combining elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong, pickleball is played with paddles and a plastic ball on a tennis court with a slightly modified net. Once you play a game or two, you’ll be hooked!  In this class you'll be introduced to the history and rules of Pickleball while learning basic Pickleball skills such as forehand and backhand groundstrokes, serves, dinks, overhead, and volley shots. You'll also learn game strategy for singles and doubles through class play. This will be a fun and collaborative learning experience with hands-on instruction! Students must come to class with their own Pickleball paddle and appropriate attire for outdoor play. The coach will provide a bin of pickleball balls for the class to use.
